TEGADERM AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
-
Tegaderm can stay on for up to 5 days. When you remove the bandage the tattoo will be almost completely healed.
-
Blood, plasma, and excess ink can accumulate under the bandage and is perfectly normal. This fluid or "goo" will be black in color. If the seal is broken, and fluid leaks out, remove the film, clean and wash the tattoo thoroughly and begin following After Care Instructions Step 2 above. If possible come back by the shop for a second piece if yours leaks.
-
Tegaderm contains adhesive and may cause a reaction or irritation if allergic to adhesives even if you weren't aware of the allergy, If you get hot and red in the shape of the bandage, not the tattoo, remove the bandage immediately, and follow After Care Instructions Step 2. Reaction usually takes about 24 hours.
-
Tegaderm should be removed gently in the shower, Pulling and rolling it back over itself in the direction of hair growth (slowly in a downward motion.) Once removed, follow After Care Instructions starting at Step 2.
Contact the studio or your artist directly if you have any questions or concerns.
